Kairos Outside weekends begin on Friday evening and end on Sunday afternoon. There is prayer, singing, fun activities, great food and great fellowship.
Our guests are women, 20 years old and older, whose lives have been impacted by having a loved one incarcerated in a State or Federal Correctional facility. Also, those women that have been incarcerated and were not able to attend a Kairos weekend while in an institution may attend. This program is not limited to those women whose loved one has attended a Kairos weekend. The weekend is not coed. No men are permitted in the community room with the women.
The weekend is Christian in nature; however, we place no requirements regarding any religious affiliation on our Guests. All we ask is for a woman to be open to discussion from a Christian perspective.
Kairos Outside of North Carolina holds several weekends a year in the Spring and Fall.
